The purpose of this blog is to share information from a wide variety of information sources to help children with learning and behavioral difficulties without the use of medication. Yes, there are ways to regain brain balance and I’m going to show you much of the things I’ve come across to help those young people who are labeled with words such as ADHD, Autism, Asperger’s…and those are just the “A”s. I’ll be posting information as I come across it from all types of media. Of course, I will frame the information from my perspective of being able to function without medication if at all possible.

I operate a center called the Brain Balance Achievement Center of Westlake Village, California. We’re located about half way between the Los Angeles airport and Santa Barbara, about eleven miles inland from Malibu in the Conejo Valley. Our valley also includes Thousand Oaks and Newbury Park. Brain Balance is the “brain child” of Dr. Robert Melillo, a Chiropractic Neurologist who is world-renown for his work with children with learning and behavioral difficulties. Dr. Melillo is also the author of the textbook Neurobehavioral Disorders of Childhood – an Evolutionary Perspective, which is used in a number of colleges and universities.

In addition, I’ve had prior experience working with children with spectrum disorders for the past ten years, chiefly working with nutrition and allergy elimination (a technique called NAET, of which I am an instructor teaching primarily in Europe). Additionally, I have practiced Chiropractic and craniopathy for the past forty years. Yup. Been around the block once or twice. Along the way I’ve gathered a lot of information, worked with a lot of people (over 30,000 at last reckoning), read a lot of books, taken a lot of seminars, and just want to share what I know with the public (since my wife and kids have quit listening to me ;+} ) before I move on. For more of a look at what I do in addition to Brain Balance, go to my other website.

I’ll be leaving for Europe to teach a class in Amsterdam and take my vacation in Denmark and Norway. I’ll be back with information along the way, if possible. And certainly thereafter.

Thanks for checking out my blog.

I am interested in hearing from parents with children with processing disorders and/or ADHD. Has your child had sucsess with this program? What kind of changes did you see? I would love to hear from you. I am considering going thru this program with my son. It does sound very promising with good results.
